Why This Programme?

The Process

Study

To begin your programme, you will study courses which are industry and internationally recognised as being necessary and relevant to begin a career as an IT Field Technician.

This starts with the CompTIA IT Fundamentals course, which is designed to provide a foundation IT knowledge which you will then build upon. Upon completion of this course you will complete an online internal assessment to demonstrate your compentency and understanding.

Next you will study both CompTIA A+ courses. These courses will teach you the basics of what is needed to work in IT as a technician. CompTIA A+ is recognised internationally as the standard certification for entry level IT positions . This will ensure you have the essential skills needed to succeed and then qualify for the 5 day workshop with our IT contract partner. After completing each of the CompTIA A+ courses you will again be asked to complete an online assessment to demonstrate your competency and understanding.

Upon successfully passing our online assessments, you are now ready to attend the practical workshop with our IT contractor.

Throughout your studies you will be supported by your personalised expert mentor and tutor, to ensure success during your studies.

Our IT contract partner does not require you to complete the official CompTIA exams and therefore these are not included within the programme. However, as completion of the courses and our online assessments demostrates you are exam ready, we do highly recommend that you sit the official CompTIA exams.

Gain Experience

You will attend a 5-day workshop which includes an interview and assessment with our IT contract partner in the North West of England. This workshop will enable you to demonstrate that you are able to put your theoretical knowledge into practice as well as demonstrating to our IT contracting partner that you are competent and ready to work for them. At the end of the workshop our IT contracting partner will confirm whether you have been successful and then offer you a contract position.

Start Working

Our IT contract partner will advise you of the availability of their next contract which typically will be within 3-4 weeks.

Typically the work involved will be remote and field based. Many of the contract positions through our IT contracting partner evolve through time into full time permanent positions.

In the event that our IT contracting partner does not have any positions available or you were unsuccessful during the workshop, our internal recruitment team will work with you to find you a position.

Industry Recognised Qualifications

Our selected qualifications, including the industry-leading CompTIA A+, equip you for immediate effectiveness in any IT role. You’ll benefit from job-ready CompTIA training and LiveLabs, offering hands-on experience to apply and assess your learning. Although our IT partner does not require certifications, you have the option to complete these certifications with us.
