Study, qualify & work in IT
The companies we work with love ex Armed Forces staff as they know you are smartly presented, committed and disciplined.
Many organisations also require security cleared staff and you tick that box too.
You have an opportunity to build a career in IT and Cyber Security through us by using your ELCAS funding for your studies and us placing you in an IT Field Technician role with our partner company that provides IT services to organisations across the UK.
The process is easy…
First, you use your ELCAS funding to pay for your studies and exams. Next you start studying and we place you in an IT Field Technician role. You gain practical experience and build your portfolio of professional skills.
While working in your new job, you continue your studies and taking exams. You progress your studies from IT technical to Networking and then onto Cyber Security.
At the end of the first part of the programme you are working in IT, have studied 3 courses and passed 4 official exams. In the second part of your programme you have the option to use further ELCAS funding if available to you, study further and specialise in Cyber Security.
Throughout your studies you are supported by a student care team that consists of mentors, tutors and recruitment consultants.
Recruitment, training and building careers is what we excel at. We are an approved learning provider for the MoD (Ministry of Defence) and a member of their Enhanced Learning Credit Provider List: ELCAS Provider ID: 6447.
REQUIREMENTS
No previous experience is necessary, however if you enjoy learning about technology and helping people, then you are ideally suited.
As most of the job opportunities are field based, there are a greater number of opportunities that require a UK driver’s license and a car.
Some organisations are not easily accessible with public transport and field engineers are sometimes required to transport equipment.
A travel allowance is available with most opportunities (details do differ).
